Branch Manager, Waco

Job Description

Johnstone Supply is a leading distributor of HVAC/R equipment and parts.  We have an opening in our new Waco location.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensures customers receive prompt, professional service, in person and over the phone by establishing standards and monitoring quality on a daily basis.
  • Works directly with customers during busy times and with key customer accounts.
  • Works in conjunction with Outside Sales.
  • Develops relationships and rapport with customers to establish win-win partnerships.
  • Maintains the highest standards in cleanliness and appearance of the showroom, warehouse and exterior of the facility.
  • Resolves customer complaints and disputes in a timely, professional manner that balances customer requests with business needs.
  • Establishes, communicates and models performance expectations of all branch team members.   
  • Ensures team members are up-to-date and knowledgeable regarding branch operations and the company as a whole by holding regular meetings, and continually providing information and status reports.
  • Participates in the hiring and recruiting process to identify qualified candidates within established processes and guidelines.
  • Ensures adequate staffing levels to meet business needs by establishing working schedules, approving vacation and cross-training employees to fill in when needed.
  • Manages branch inventory to ensure security, accuracy.
  • Oversees product returns and warranty processing, balancing customer requests with company guidelines and procedures.
  • Oversees warehouse and delivery operations.
  • Controls branch operational costs to ensure overall branch profitability is met.
  • Balances cash drawer daily and prepares daily bank deposit.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years experience in branch operations management in a wholesale environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  College business degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of management principles, including recruiting, hiring, training and development, delegating, coaching, and evaluating employees.
  • Ability to create and manage a high-functioning team.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct the activities of subordinates.
  • Ability to listen to others to identify concerns and needs and communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of wholesale distribution branch operations, including order fulfillment, inventory control, customer service, showroom merchandising, shipping and receiving and sales.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel).
  • Ability to learn and use company computer systems in daily branch operations.
  • General knowledge of the HVAC/R industry, contractor customer needs and product applications.
  • Able to lift 50lbs.

Branch Supervisor, Tyler

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensures customers receive prompt, professional service, in person and over the phone by establishing standards and monitoring quality on a daily basis.
  • Works directly with customers during busy times and with key customer accounts.
  • Works in conjunction with Outside Sales to determine customer needs and implement and follow through on established programs.
  • Performs outside sales calls as necessary.
  • Develops relationships and rapport with customers to establish win-win partnerships.
  • Resolves customer complaints and disputes in a timely, professional manner that balances customer requests with business needs.
  • Establishes, communicates and models performance expectations of all branch team members.
  • Ensures expectations are met by monitoring reports, gathering feedback from customers, observing performance and taking corrective action or rewarding employees as necessary.

Delivery Driver Associate, Allen

Job Description

Johnstone Supply is a leading HVAC/R wholesale distributor in DFW and North Texas. We have an immediate opening for a Delivery Driver Associate at our Allen location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older
  • Must pass the Drug Test, the Background Check, pre-employment tests, if applicable
  • Positive/Favorable first impression – appearance, interpersonal
  • Excellent driving record
  • Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Warehouse experience is preferred
  • Able to meet deadlines and production requirements; fast-paced environment
  • Able to lift up to 70 pounds on a regular basis
  • Computer experience in a windows-based environment; ability to operate power equipment such as forklifts and pallet-jacks
  • Effective verbal and written communication; including e-mail.
  • Must be customer service oriented
  • Possess good attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality

General Warehouse – 50%

  • Receiving, stocking, order picking, customer service, cycle counting and warranty processing and shipping
  • Safety, sanitation and security

Delivery – 50%

  • Pick/Pack intra-company transfers, loads and unloads truck
  • Verifies load against shipping document
  • Prepares route to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient deliveries
  • Maintains cleanliness of the inside of the truck and mileage log
  • Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water
  • Drives truck to deliver such items as intra-company transfers to company branches and customer orders to customer’s place of business
  • Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive expedited delivery instructions
  • Records sales or deliveries information on daily sales and delivery record
  • Collects or picks up intra-company transfers at company branches and customer’s returned or rejected merchandise
  • Obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery
  • Listens to and resolves customers service challenges and opportunities

Inside Sales Representative, Dallas

Johnstone Supply is a leading Texas wholesale distributor of Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration (HVAC/R) equipment and parts. We have an immediate opening for two Inside Sales Representatives at our Dallas Corporate Office.

The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is often the face of the company and the person the customer comes in contact with. This position will consistently provide a high level of customer service. They will navigate customers to solutions that meet the customer’s needs and drives sales growth by engaging in actions that identify leads for further selling opportunities with every customer.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assists customers in the selection of product by effectively communicating product and service offerings over the phone.
  • Utilizes effective probing and listening skills to generate lead opportunities.
  • Recognizes and responds to cross-sell opportunities and is able to successfully convert inquiries into orders.
  • Resolves customer problems promptly and accurately in a manner that will retain and promote customer loyalty.
  • Uses the company system to efficiently record and process orders, faxes, and bids.
  • Guides customers to other internal resources such as Credit, Sales, etc.
  • Meets established volumes for number of calls incoming/outbound and can adhere to a strict schedule.
  • Takes personal ownership for meeting established individual and team metrics.
  • Meets or exceeds monitoring standards on phones.
  • Works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.
  • Completes all training courses assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years customer service and inside sales experience – product (not service) and business-to-business
  • Effective communicator, comfortable interacting with customers and internal teammates in a professional manner in person and via the phone.
  • Must be computer literate and able to learn required software programs.
